Umkumbe Safari Lodge is located in the prestigious Sabi Sands Game Reserve , a private reserve that shares a unfenced border with the Kruger National Park. Big Five Game viewing is unrivaled in this part of the park. The wildlife is free to move between the parks creating a rich diversity.

There are three standard chalets and seven superior suites, all with a spectacular bush views.

Each Standard Chalet has a king-size bed or twin beds, an en-suite bathroom with shower, mosquito netting, air conditioning, safe and a patio.

The Superior Suites have the addition of a sleeper couch and the en-suite bathroom features a bathtub, and an outdoor shower. Four of the suites overlook the Sand River whilst the other three look onto a active waterhole.

Additional facilities include a swimming pool, bar and dining area and the traditional boma, where guests will be served delicious meals.

Game drives start in the early morning with a three hour drive in open vehicles accompanied by expert guides. The late afternoon game drives includes includes a stop in the bush for a memorable sundowner drink. If you feel a little adventurous, the lodge also offers a walking guided safari. Sabi Sands is home to a huge diversity of wildlife, which includes the Big Five, cheetah and wild dog.
