Shindzela offers a authentic Kruger tented camp safari experience with basic but comfortable accommodation and premier Big 5 Game viewing. The camp is remotely located in the Timbavati Game Reserve , part of the Greater Kruger National Park.
Shindzela accommodates only 16 guests in eight canvas en-suite safari tents set on wooden decks. Each tent comes with solar lighting, elegant wire insect mesh, and en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and basin. The camp is eco-friendly and relies on solar energy and gas for power. The central African fireplace in the camp’s main dining/lounge area is the perfect spot for recounting the day’s adventures. Guests enjoy dinner under the African stars in a boma style set-up accompanied by their guide. Buffet style African dishes are served with delicious vegetables, meats and salads. Freshly baked breads provided on each table.
The Timbavati shares a unfenced border with the Kruger National Park, a conservation area over five million acres. Discover all this beauty on the game drives in the morning and afternoon. The camp also offers guided walking safaris.
