Named one of the ’50 Best Resorts in the World’ (Condé Nast Traveler), this luxurious safari lodge has a prime location in Thornybush Private Game Reserve – a reserve known for excellent overall game viewing and consistently good Big 5 sightings.
The lodge has 6 Luxury Suites and 2 Royal Suites (2 bedrooms each). Each suite is extremely private and opens onto a game viewing deck with a rim-flow swimming pool and thatched gazebo. Interiors are opulent with dark wood furniture, Persian rugs and an extravagantly sized bathroom with a Victorian-style bathtub, as well as both indoor and outdoor showers.
For families or friends travelling together, the 6-bedroom Africa House is a child-friendly bush paradise filled with colour and character. While, a short drive from Main Lodge, the beautiful new Farmstead at Royal Malewane is intimate and more contemporary in style, and has just 3 Luxury Farm Suites and The Farmhouse – 3.5-bedroom private villa.
Game drives are led by an expert guide-and-tracker team, and focus on your particular interests. Between safari activities, pick one of the comfortable couches on the main deck or unwind with a treatment at the Waters of Royal Malewane Bush Spa (one of the best spas in Africa!).
