Phinda Forest Lodge Luxury Safari
Phinda Forest Lodge is located in the Big Five Phinda Game Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal. Private viewing decks overlook the grassy plains while the tall torchwood trees surrounding each Suite guarantee seclusion. The Big 5 roam the rolling grassland stretching out in front of your suite. A KwaZulu Natal luxury safari experience with unique accommodation and excellent hospitality.
There are 16 guest suites, spaced at least 15 metres apart within the forest. The suites are raised well off the forest floor on sturdy stilts, with a canopy of leaves above them. A short flight of steps lead up onto the front deck, and from here glass doors open into the bedroom space. The walls are made almost entirely of glass, affording amazing views into the forest.
On the edge of the forest, just before a clearing that overlooks a small waterhole, lies the lodge’s sparkling rim-flow swimming pool, an ideal respite in between game drives. Expansive decks in the spacious guest area, look out onto panoramic views of an open grassy meadow. In the evenings, when warm firelight welcomes you to the traditional African boma.
Game drives take place in the early morning and late afternoon. Phinda Game Reserve is home to all the Big Five, rhino , elephant, lion, leopard and buffalo. The lodge does also offer guided walking safaris.
