Spectacular Scenery of the Namib Desert

Namib Dune Star Camp is located in the the Namib-Naukluft National Park , Africa’s largest conservation area, Sossusvlei is possibly Namibia’s most spectacular and best-known attraction. Characterised by the large red dunes that surround it, Sossusvlei is a large, white, salt and clay pan and is a great destination all year round.

Accommodation consists of 9 each with a large bedroom and a spacious deck. The rooms are equipped with a double bed that can be wheeled out for a night under the southern skies. Each room has an additional single bed making it perfect for families or friends. The deck offer unrivaled vistas and is the ideal place to sip on a sundowner drink. Solar panels on the cabins provide hot water and lights, and water is pumped from a nearby borehole. Nature provides the rest. This is an opportunity for guests to be mindful of resources and to step lightly in the delicate desert environment.

Activities are based around short morning and afternoon nature walks in and around the surrounding dunes. The camp is more about sleeping under the stars and the amazing desert scenery than an activity base; put another way, an evening here is an activity.
