Nestled on a palm-fringed island in the heart of the Okavango Delta, Moremi Crossing is a luxurious tented camp that offers a unique blend of comfort and adventure. The camp is located on the southern boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve, overlooking the famed Chief’s Island.
Moremi Crossing offers walking safaris and mokoro trips as well as motorised boat safaris. A prime location for birdwatching, rare sightings have included Pel’s Fishing Owl and the Ground Hornbill. When you’re not cruising around the waterways of the delta, animal spotting can take place from the camp’s shaded deck.
The camp itself consists of 16 spacious safari tents built on raised decks, each with en-suite facilities and a private veranda offering stunning views of the surrounding wilderness. The tents are decorated in a vintage style, with a nod to the area’s rich safari heritage. There’s also a family tent that can accommodate four guests, and a honeymoon tent with a romantic outdoor bathtub.
The crescent-shaped main building consists of a very large open plan deck with lovely views over Chief’s Island.
Moremi Crossing , Okavango Delta offers a authentic simple back to basics approach to safaris. Warm hospitality with a local flavour and fantastic game viewing.
