MalaMala Camp: A haven of luxury in the heart of the African bush

MalaMala Camp is the original camp at the MalaMala Game Reserve. This legendary camp has recently undergone  a full refurbishment, and is looking fantastic. MalaMala Game Reserve is the largest private Big Five game reserve in South Africa. The reserve borders the Kruger National Park and Sabi Sands Reserve.

Guest accommodation consists of ten luxury rooms, ten luxury suites, and one single room. Each unit has deck space, ranging from 15 to 20 sq m. All categories are very well appointed, featuring a comfortable main bedroom with beautifully made bed or beds, bedside table/s and lighting, a writing desk and chair, and a separate seating area. All rooms have a outside deck with fantastic views.

The timber and thatch communal area contains a comfortable lounge and bar where guests can relax with a drink and take in the wonderful surroundings. The lodge also features a wellness spa and library.

Wildlife safaris are a top priority at the Reserve. Game drives start out from camp during early morning and late afternoon, providing amazing opportunities to explore the reserve and to enjoy sightings of its wealth of wildlife. For the more adventurous guest, the lodge offers guided walking safaris.
