Escape to Tranquility at Little Sable Camp

The little sister to Sable Alley Camp, Little Sable Camp is a relaxed, intimate camp offering e excellent safari experience in the game rich Khwai region. Little Sable is open all year round and for very good reason. Although each month has its quirks and challenges, the wildlife watching is phenomenal in every season.

There are eight guest tents, all spaced out over the grasslands. Each is raised above ground level on wooden decking, with a few steps up to the deck. The tents are Meru in style with an exterior layer of canvas extends over the inner layer to create a private deck. The deck offers fantastic views over the Khwai.

A large thatch main area features a dinning area, bar and lounge – meals are taken together family style. Little Sable camp has a refreshing down to earth atmosphere, just as a proper bush camp should.

Little Sable offers an exhilarating variety of activities. Game drives take place during morning, afternoon, and evening too. The camp has specially adapted vehicles for keen photographers, as well as a photo guide.  Explore the waterways of the delta in a traditional Mokoro, dug out canoe when the water levels permit this. Sky-bed-sleepouts under the stars are available from April through to October. Don’t forget your camera and binoculars, as the camp has several ground-level hides, making for super-close encounters with lots of different species.
