Located on the northern border of the Kruger National Park in the Big 5  Kapama Private Game Reserve. Built from natural stone and wood, the luxury game lodge has an old world atmosphere while being completely contemporary.

Kapama Buffalo Camp’s  10 ultra-luxurious tents that evoke the feeling of old Africa. Each en-suite tent can accommodate two people.  There’s air conditioning for summer and heated under-blankets to keep the cold at bay on winter nights.

The communal areas of Buffalo Camp are built on the riverbank, and are surrounded by wild gardens of aloe and euphorbia. An intimate lounge nestles under a vaulted thatched roof with ceiling fans, which create a welcome breeze in summer. It’s the perfect place to sink into a comfortable sofa and bird watch, while enjoying refreshments from the Buffalo Bar.

Your journey into the wild begins with professionally guided game drives in open safari vehicles. Led by experienced rangers and trackers, you’ll have the opportunity to witness Africa’s iconic Big Five – lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and rhinos – as well as numerous other species that call Kapama home. Game drives are conducted in the early morning and late afternoon, when wildlife is most active.
