Jackalberry is a place to slow down and unwind while also mixing in the thrill of world class Big 5 Game viewing. Overlooking a nearby waterhole, often visited by elephants  and antelope, guests can enjoy wildlife sightings, without having to leave the comfort of the main area.

Thornybush is a 14,000-hectare private nature reserve that shares a fenceless border with the famous Kruger National Park. Big 5 encounters are the standout experiences for  guests, with visitors particularly impressed with the lion and leopard sightings. It’s the vast diversity of wildlife, however, that has seen Thornybush emerge as a leading safari destination.

Jackalberry Lodge boasts eight Luxury Suites that are designed to blend in with the natural surroundings and allow for a tranquil experience. Each comfortable chalet styled room boasts a double bed or twin beds draped in mosquito netting, an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, minibar, in-room safe, and private patios that overlook the bushveld.

The lodge facilities include an open-air dining area, outdoor boma, swimming pool, curio shop, library, satellite television, and internet access.
