Okavango Delta Accommodation
Hyena Pan is a rustic but comfortable camp with a friendly atmosphere offering affordable Okavango Delta accommodation. The Camp overlooks a watering hole deep within the Khwai Private Reserve, a 200 000 hectare hectare conservancy on the northern border of the Moremi Game Reserve.
Hyena Pan Camp has eight simple comfortable tents which with showers powered by gas boilers. Cameras and batteries can be charged through each tent’s international adapter, powered by solar panels. There is no phone or wi-fi signal in camp.
The main guest area overlooks the waterhole and comprises a spacious dining deck, a sun deck and pool deck. The open air boma with camp fire provides excellent opportunities to view game at night. The camp also has a small reference library.
The focus at Hyena Pan Camp is on land game viewing activities. The concession is explored on morning and afternoon game drives. Other full day drives explore the banks of the Khwai River with walking safaris allowing guests to get close to nature.
The Khwai Concession and, more particularly, the Khwai Private Reserve provides an incredible combination of space, exclusivity and fantastic wildlife encounters. The concession borders both the world famous Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park with Hyena Pan Camp itself only 12 kilometres north of the Khwai River. Common species include elephant, buffalo, general plains game as well as wild dog, lion and leopard.
