Doro Nawas

Breathtaking Views of the Mystical Damaraland Desert

Doro Nawas Camp is located in central Damaraland, Namibia. This small luxury camp is perched on a small hill overlooking mystical canyons and desert mountains. Engage with the local Doro Nawas community. Discover the fascinating ancient history and incredible geological phenomena of Damaraland. Glimpse black rhinos, desert-adapted elephants and more. Discover a diversity you never knew existed in the desertscape of Namibia.

Accommodation consists of 16 stone based and thatched roof chalets including a family unit. The rooms are comfortable and breeze and feature spectacular views from a outside veranda. The facilities include inside and outside shower, flush toilets, wash basin and overhead fan.  The beautiful main area comprises a central fire pit, indoor and outdoor dining area and swimming pool.

Activities include 4×4 game viewing where if you luck you may spot the rare desert-adapted elephant and Black Rhino. The area is an important refuge for black rhino and is home to desert-adapted elephant, giraffe, leopard, and cheetah. Back at the lodge guests can also go on a guided nature walk. Without a doubt the highlight of your stay will be a visit to the nearby Twyfelfontein a Unesco World Heritage Site featuring ancient Bushman rock paintings.
