Amakhala Woodbury Tented Camp is located in the malaria free Amakhala Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape Province, just one hour from Port Elizabeth. The camp overlooks the ancient floodplain of the Bushmans River, right in the heart of the Amakhala Game Reserve, one of the hidden jewels of the Eastern Cape.

The elegantly designed tented accommodations provide the perfect blend of rustic charm and opulent relaxation. The Camp consists of seven large comfortable en suite tents all on raised bases.  Each tent has king size or twin beds at your request with hot running water and electricity, along with all of your amenities required to make your stay comfortable. The camp houses magnificent communal areas including a pool area for your relief against the heat of summer.

Morning and afternoon game drives, bird watching, game spotting walks along the Bushman’s river, boat cruises and canoe safaris. Visits can also be arranged to the nearby Addo Elephant National Park and the Shamwari Born Free Foundation.
